Originating from Ethiopia and rediscovered in Panama before being introduced to Ecuador, the Geisha variety thrives in the Intag Valley's altitude and microclimate. With a focus on biodynamic and regenerative agricultural practices, coupled with closely monitored anaerobic washed processing, Pepe brings out the best of the Geisha he grows: jasmine top note, fruity tropical undertones, and peach tea-like finish.
Pepe Jijon – the renowned coffee farmer behind these exceptional lots – embodies a unique balance of the local and the global. A champion of the process over product, he grows small lots of the choicest coffee varietals on Finca la Soledad, his farm benefiting from a nearly perfect microclimate in the cloud forests of the famed Intag Valley of Ecuador.
