Named after El Cerro del Andakí, a symbol of cultural and natural heritage tied to the indigenous Andaquí people who historically inhabited the Acevedo region, this coffee embodies the spirit of this storied land.
Ají Bourbon is a rare and distinctive coffee variety. The name "Ají," Spanish for "chilli," reflects its unique character, as its cherries release a sweet red pepper aroma during harvest. Cultivated at an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level in Acevedo’s nutrient-rich volcanic soils, the Andakí Ají Bourbon is shaped by its extraordinary environment. As part of Colombia’s renowned "Coffee Triangle," Acevedo is celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest specialty coffees. Rich in complexity yet remarkably clear in flavour, with notes of cola candy, purple grape, and the bright, sun-kissed tang of dried mango, this coffee stands as a shining example of the region’s exceptional coffee craft.
