In 2020, Qima Coffee made a decision to expand into Colombia and established Qima Colombia S.A.S in the region of Quindio. The principal driver behind Qima’s expansion into Colombia was to replicate Qima’s sourcing model from Yemen on to a larger, more established coffee origin and demonstrate the feasibility and scalability of Qima’s model to serve farmers globally. Qima established its Colombian operations under the management of a local team, composed of experienced farmers and seasoned coffee professionals. Qima Colombia seeks to demonstrate that equitable, sustainable coffee does not necessarily equate to expensive coffee nor does it need to remain a niche sector with limited capacity for impact. With that vision in mind, whilst Qima will naturally include exclusive, exotic, single variety lots in its offering, it will place an equal focus on sourcing larger, more accessible offerings which can be used as everyday coffees or blend components.

Tree to Cup Difference

At Qima, coffee isn’t sourced, it’s built from the ground up. We plant, process, roast and pour within one connected chain, ensuring every cup reflects traceability, integrity and craft. From the farmer’s hand to your cup, it’s coffee with nothing hidden and everything considered.

Plant
Every cup begins with a seed. We cultivate and distribute young coffee trees to farmers, nurturing the journey from the very start. Each plant represents potential — for quality, for prosperity, and for a more sustainable future at origin.
Process
At harvest, every step is intentional. Working closely with farmers, we guide ripe cherry selection, explore innovative drying methods, apply precision processing and roast with scientific care to unlock each coffee’s character. It’s where science meets craft, and where flavour truly begins.
Pour
The final act of the journey. Our baristas serve each cup with the same respect it was grown — balancing skill and care to reveal the coffee’s story. From tree to cup, the pour completes the circle.
